MISSION TASKS FOR HELP THEM HOME HEROES
MEET DAISY & JESUS
At just 6-years-old, Daisy and Jesus have overcome many obstacles in their lives, starting with the loss of their mother before they were even a year old.
With just his single income, their father, Jose, was unable to continue to afford an apartment for his family and soon found himself raising his children in a garage. With poor ventilation and lack of a heat source, the living environment quickly became too dangerous. Determined to give his children a better life, Jose sought help from Thomas House.
Despite their past adversities, the family continues to triumph over their challenges. Jose continues to work full-time to provide for his family. With the help of Thomas House, he was also given private one-on-one cooking lessons after he expressed interest in giving his kids healthier options for dinner.
When asked who they consider their hero to be, both Daisy and Jesus agree, "my daddy."
With your support, we are able to change the lives of families experiencing homelessness. Thanks to you, Jose's family continues to move closer to their ultimate goal: permanent housing. But we still need your support to ensure Daisy and Jesus' story ends successfully!
