24 HOURS - $200,000
The mission of Thomas House Family Shelter is to provide a safe, supportive environment and the resources necessary for homeless and at-risk families to remain together while empowering them to become independent and self-sufficient.
On Wednesday, April 26th, Thomas House Family Shelter joins forces with 24 other Orange County homeless service providers for one purpose: to end homelessness.
To help sustain the vital services we provide, Thomas House raised $150,855 in 2022 with the help of the community and supporters like you!
On behalf of the Thomas House board, team, and families, we ask you to join us again on April 26th and help us raise this years goal of $200,000 to Help Them Home.

GETTTING TO KNOW CLARISSA & ANGEL
Clarissa and her son, Angel, arrived at Thomas House in early December, and since then, they have found it to be their saving grace and the place where they have been their happiest for as long as they can remember.
Clarissa has been on her own since the age of 14 – Her father had passed away, and her mother was unstable. At the young age of 16, she found herself on the streets permanently and addicted to various substances. To her surprise, she became pregnant with Angel. During the better part of a decade, she found herself in unhealthy relationships while remaining under the influence of substances. There came a breaking point where she had to decide, to break the pattern or continue the path she was in. She got out.
She found herself in an emergency shelter for three months but quickly realized it was not suitable for her son. She found Thomas House and has been thriving ever since. Clarissa has learned how to budget and manage her time wisely in four short months. She’s been able to save and isn’t done yet. Angel has improved significantly as he frequently shares, “how great it is to be here, huh, mom?”. His social anxiety has improved, his schooling has been consistent, and it has been reflected in his grades. Clarissa also finds herself employed in school and is waiting for her acceptance letters from the Universities to which she has applied.
Clarissa praises Thomas House for being her motivation and is thankful for the opportunity to prioritize her goals while maintaining her sobriety for over a year now. She wants to graduate college and become a therapist. We look forward to what that journey looks like and are incredibly proud of the difference it makes to have the support you need in a safe space like Thomas House.
Your donation today will support more families like Clarissa & Angel!
