Can you imagine a future in which everyone in Orange County has a safe place to sleep every night? We can. But we need your help. That’s why Families Forward, Home Aid Orange County and Thomas House Family Shelter are coming together for a Day of Giving on April 26th to end homelessness. Our goal is to restore dignity and hope to homeless men, women and children by raising funds for immediate shelter and supportive services as well as the development of long term housing options. Every night, more than 4,452 individuals in Orange County don’t have a permanent place to call home with an estimated 15,291 individuals experiencing homelessness over the course of the year. Of those, 31% are families who continue to face housing insecurity every year. Let’s make 2017 the year no one in Orange County goes without a safe place to sleep tonight, and every night.
By supporting the Help Them Home Campaign through a donation on the Day of Giving (April 26), you can help Thomas House Family Shelter Make Our House a Home. Your generous gift will empower 30 to 35 homeless families with children to become independent and self-sufficient. During their 6 to 12 month stay at Thomas House, each family will become a part of our community where they are provided with the tools and resources that they need to succeed.
